This unique French post card
from W.W.I. is silk embroidery on a silk background framed in decoratively
bordered paper. The story goes that when US soldiers disembarked
from their ships upon their arrival in France, they were greeted
by Parisians selling beautiful hand-made post cards like this one.
It's been kept in its original box so that its colors have remained
bright. The box it came in reads, "Literati Note. A Mediaeval
Vellum. Lirera Scripta Manet. This paper is made of the best Fibre,
and has been carefully Mill Finished to give it the requisite surface
for Rapid Writing." This one's titled: "A Happy Easter"
This post card is a real steal at the low opening bid of $19.99.
And, of course, there's no reserve! Enjoy!
