COLUMBO

When you check out the Columbo chapter in TV DINNERS you'll find two great recipes for blowfish. Both are inspired by Case #42 — Murder Under Glass. You remember, it’s the episode where famed TV show host and food critic Paul Gerard (played by Louis Jourdan) murders a resutaurant owner whom he has been extorting money from to insure good restaurant reviews.

Don’t worry, we haven’t given away the climax of the show. This is Columbo, remember, where the killer is always identified at the beginning.

Anyway, Columblow Fish With Mild Mushroom Sauce and Paul’s Puffer With Ravigote Sauce are inspired by this episode and are actually very tasty considering blowfish can be poisonous. In lieu of either of these recipes, though, we’ve included here something that we couldn’t provide in TV Dinners — an opportunity to get back at a blowfish.
